Hot Spring Hunt

This hiking tour takes us to a magical valley where a warm river trickles by lusciously green riverbanks dotted with yellow and white flowers. Here visitors can bathe in the warm waters in a completely natural environment.

We’ll hike from the outskirts of Hveragerði, the town of hot springs and flowers, into the beautiful valley of Reykjadalur. Up there hot water rushes down the slopes of Hellisheiði mountain range and creates the ideal place to relax in an untouched natural hot steam. The valley also has an amazing abundance of geothermal springs and you will witness everything from small gurgling melting pots to vibrant superheated pools of water.

We’ll find a good spot to bathe in the waters and enjoy our picnic lunch before we hike back down the valley.
